Minecraft at the library – finally!

Finally bought Minecraft for the library! We have an Xbox 360, so up to 4 players at a time. It’s already had quite the workout 🙂

Inky Awards 2012 – Library Prize!

To celebrate the Inky Awards, the Centre for Youth Literature offered libraries and schools across Australia the chance to win one of two complete sets of the 2012 Inky longlisted titles for their library collection… Below is the display I created for my library:

I was contacted with the very exciting news that this display won! I went to the booktalkers Inkyfest event on the 30 October to accept the prize on behalf of Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation.

September School Holidays

Every school holidays Casey-Cardinia Library Corporation offers a range of free activities for children and young people of all ages. Each holidays has a different theme, this program being Champions Read! You can view all children’s activities available through the September school holidays here. There are plently of storytime sessions, performers and 7 years + activities.

Be inspired by the brochure of what’s happening and check out this display that I whipped up to promote the program within my branch.
