On Saturday 21 November 2015 we held a massive gaming session as part of International Games Day at the library. This is an opportunity for libraries to promote fun activities and raise awareness of the social and educational benefits of play, including card games, board games, and online games.
We hosted Virtual Reality Insanity who came and set up large screens and consoles for participants to use multiplayer games. They also brought along virtual reality headsets to try. Other activities included giant Connect Four and Yatzhee, as well as several board games set up around the library.
The day was a great success with a high attendance and positive feedback 🙂
